Revenue Commissioner to visit area senior centers: over-age 65 homestead exemptions explained

It’s time for the annual registration or renewal of homestead exemptions for folks over age 65.

Property owners over age 65 can qualify for an extra ad valorem tax discount on their homesteads, but they must register for it per Alabama law. To explain it all, Cullman’s Revenue Commissioner, Barry Willingham, is speaking at all area senior centers this fall.
