October 1 marks the beginning of property tax collection season for Cullman’s Revenue Commission. Because Alabama does not allow early payment of property taxes, annual tax courtesy notices are mailed in late September for delivery on or about October 1 when collections begin. All property and business personal property taxes are due and payable October 1 through December 31 and may be paid online, by mail, or in person at one of four locations (Cullman County Courthouse or annex offices in Baileyton, Dodge City, or Hanceville).
October 1 ALSO marks the beginning of motor vehicle tag renewals for vehicle owners whose last name begins with the letter U, V, W, X, Y, Z. Avoid the crowds at the end of the month by coming throughout the month. Tags, unless your courtesy reminder indicates otherwise, may also be renewed online via this website, www.cullmanrevenuecommissioner.com.
