Alabama Counts 2020 census efforts underway

Every 10 years, the U.S. Census is taken to get an accurate accounting of all residents in the country. This accounting is important for Alabama, not only because it’s required by the U.S. Constitution, but also because it determines–among other things–federal funding for education, infrastructure, healthcare, economic development, and congressional districting.

“If Alabama comes back with a low count, the state could lose a congressional seat in Washington, DC, possibly two” reported WSFA-TV in Montgomery.

Please remember to participate in the 2020 census, and watch the Census Facebook page for additional information. https://www.facebook.com/AlabamaCounts/.
