One way your Cullman County Revenue Commissioner, Barry Willingham, serves the community is his personal committment to be a blood platelet donor through LifeSouth Blood Centers. Donations made through LifeSouth stay local for our Cullman-area friends and family members who need whole blood or blood products to live. Willingham donates platelets every two-to-three weeks; platelets can then be transfused to trauma victims and cancer patients in our community.
Willingham also serves the community as a blood drive coordinator. The next blood drive is Wednesday, November 6 at the south end of the Cullman County Courthouse. All community members, county and city employees, and eligible passersby are encouraged to donate whole blood during this important blood drive. Each blood donation can save up to three Cullman-area lives.
Look for the red, white, and blue bus on November 6 and climb aboard to help your community.
