Revenue staff to begin contacting owners of past-due property taxes; checks accepted through February 28

In Alabama, all property taxes are due and payable on October 1 each year. The last day for on-time payments is December 31 each year, with the delinquent collection time beginning January 1 (additional fees and interest are accrued).

Your Revenue Commissioner and his staff are currently reaching out to owners of property for which 2019 ad valorem property taxes are still unpaid. Staff members began making courtesy calls this week to remind owners of their unpaid taxes as a follow-up to the original courtesy tax notice (mailed in October 2019) and the first delinquent notice (mailed in January 2020).

You may pay your taxes online at www.cullmanrevenuecommissioner.com or in person at any Revenue Commission office. Mailed or in-person payments by check will be processed through February 28, 2020. After February 28, all payments must be made via certified funds, such as cash, cashier’s check, or debit or credit card.

For any questions, contact the Revenue Commission office at (256) 775-4776.
