October 1, 2026 marks the start of registration renewals for vehicle owners whose last names begin with U, V, W, X, Y, or Z. October is also renewal month for any National Guard motor vehicle license plates, as well as commercial or fleet vehicles.
October 1 begins the 2026 property tax collection period, with all ad valorem property taxes becoming due and payable through December 31, 2026 with no interest or penalty. (All prior year tax liens must be paid prior to the 2026 taxes for any property on which prior year tax liens have been sold.)
Renewals can be completed online, at the Cullman County Courthouse, or at satellite offices in Baileyton, Dodge City, and Hanceville.
Satellite locations do not accept cash. All sites accept checks, cards, cashier’s checks, and money orders. Cash is only accepted at the Cullman County Courthouse location of the Cullman Revenue Commissioner’s office.
